Recently, a new cake shop opened up by the city's repair shop, and it was only a short walk from my house! Me (in the blue), Rika (in the pink), Hikari (in the mint), and Fumie (in the purple) decided to dress in cute pastel outfits to match the shop's theme ( ˆ𐃷ˆ) .ᐟ Its name is sooooo cute too!! It's called Yuna Cake Shop, but I asked the girl named Yuna at my school if it was hers. Turns out she knows nothing about baking... ¬_¬

Once we walked inside, we saw that they served all types of desserts, not only cakes! They had cheese cake, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, lemon, carrot, and matcha. They also had cake pops of the same flavor and vanilla, chocolate, and Sakura ice cream. Apparently the shop is owned by a rival of Chiho Zaizen named Ayaka Iwata. Chiho runs Sweets SAKURA by the Housing Complex and her prices are much cheaper than Ayaka's. Her most expensive cake is only 1200 yen, and her cheapest is 900. Meanwhile Ayaka's cheapest cake is 2200 and her most expensive is 3600, and that's not even considering the double and triple layer cakes!! (𖦹ᯅ𖦹) I guess the price is valid because Ayaka's work is more detailed than Chiho's, but everyone apreciates her handmade appearance and touch!

• ★ My Sakura Ice Cream - 8/10, super creamy and rich! Had a strong sugary taste, but its thickness made my stomach hurt despite not being lactose intolerant. Too much I guess... "( – ⌓ – )=3
• ★ Norika's Strawberry Cake 10/10, she really likes sweets so this wasn't that surprising!! She said it was really moist and had a strong strawberry taste with real strawberry pieces. She finished her plate the fastest out of all of this, and then she was so sleepy after... ᡣ𐭩

• ★ Hikari's Ice Cream Parfait - 9/10, had a nice vanilla base with decorations on top. She said the fruit wasn't cold like the rest of the dessert, leaving her biting down on room temperature fruit with her ice cream. Overall, she said it was yummy though!
• ★ Fumie's Chocolate Cake - 8/10, said the cake was very moist, but had this cheap chocolate taste as if it was halloween candy. Rika decided to taste test and said she really couldn't tell the difference. Maybe Fumie has more advanced tastebuds than us, but after Rika took a bite, she happily ate it all up before she could get more XD

After we finished eating, guess who had to pay? Me...
Our bill was 6000 (5500 without tax) which isn't that that bad for a high-end shop (even though it outprices the original most expensive eating spot in town: Cafe Cherry Cow, a full on Wagyu resterant that serves duck, steak, and everything!!!!), I just tend to be a frugal girl (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ also all the prices in Sakura Town tend to be rather cheap, so whenever we locals see a price higher than what we're used to, we complain a bit. All my friends had fun with the food and photoshoots for the blog, and we might even come back again for a special occasion. I think this place will stick around and have some competion with Chiho, but I can see couples going here for a more expensive experience, not really a place for casual outings. Also it's much more closer to the central area of Sakura Town so people won't have to travel that far, like us! Although at the end of the day, Sweets Sakura has been a household name for many years now so I believe it will always end up bringing the most revenue compared to the aesthetic appeal of Yuna Cake Shop.
